A SOUR NOTE: University
of Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta has apologized for crossing a line
meant to separate UI from gambling. His apology for allowing the Iowa Lottery
to use UI images and music is accepted, as long as the lesson has really
been learned that not everything — especially the school’s beloved fight
song — is not for sale.
