We don't help
companies meet their social responsibility when we give them tax breaks
as revealed in the Jan. 20 article regarding Rockwell Collins ("Rockwell
Gets $11 Million in State Aid"). The wealth of the corporation is supposed
to strengthen the community by contributing to the health, education and
welfare of the community, not weaken it. Free markets work morally when
those who gain from it share their revenues with all.
