Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino posted a $1.7 million loss last year. Officials aren’t fretting; they point to several one-time expenditures in 2005 and other reasons that had little to do with gambling revenue. Still, it should give pause to those communities and investors building new casinos. Eventually, the saturation point for Iowa gambling will be reached.
