ON TRACK:
Rockwell Collins’ planned $14.2 million expansion got needed support from
the state’s Department of Economic Development last week when it granted
the project sales-tax credits and credits for research and development.
The project qualified for the state’s ‘‘High Quality Jobs Creation’’ program
because of the 275 new engineering jobs that will have average wages of
$28.45 per hour, plus benefits that take compensation to more than $36
an hour.
