In Re Applications for RENEWAL OF RADIO AND TELEVISION LICENSES IN NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY

FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION

18 F.C.C.2d 268 (1969)

MAY 21, 1969

ACTION:

APPLICATION

One hundred seventy-five out of a total of 358 stations in New York and New Jersey were found to be qualified for June 1 license renewal and had either been granted or were in the process of being granted under delegated authority as of May 21, the Commission has been informed by the Chief of the Broadcast Bureau.  It is expected that problems affecting grants of renewals in a number of cases will be resolved before the regular renewal date, reducing the number of deferrals.

The action was noted by the Commission, May 21, 1969.  Commissioners Cox and Johnson dissented and issued statements.
