Re: Class Assignment March 5, 1997

Be prepared to make a presentation regarding your global corporation Wednesday evening, March 5.

Note: If you have not yet selected a global corporation, check the CLS Web Page for the table mentioned below, select a company, and e-mail your selection to me as soon as possible.

To remind: What we are looking to illustrate/demonstrate with these presentations are three things: (1) that there are, in fact, global corporations in the Information Economy that are concentrating increasing economic power within their control, (2) that they are engaged in an ever-widening range of Information Age-related activities (e.g., movie studios, book publishing, broadcasting, video rental, etc., etc.), and (3) that they are each active in a large number of countries. Choose the facts for your presentation accordingly.

See, "Companies," February 20, 1997, CLS Web Page, for distinction between your global corporation, billion-dollar-bonanza and companies doing business in your country.

See, "Semester Schedule" ("Schedule for Semester"), February 21, 1997, CLS Web Page, for an early indication this is what we would be doing the evening of March 5.

See, "Associates' Selection of Global Corporations," February 26, 1997, CLS Web Page, for a table matching associates by last name with global corporation selected.

As always, see (call, e-mail, etc.) me if you have questions.
