It is, of course, impossible to thank all of those who have made a contribution to these pages in one way or another. Everyone who interacted with Dad during the course of his life has played some role. And to even begin the task of listing all of those individuals whose names I can recall -- colleagues, students, friends -- would run the inevitable risk of leaving out most of them.
My sister, and only sibling, Kate, who has been supportive
My wife, Mary Vasey, who teaches writing skills to me as well as her students
My children: Julie, Sherman and Gregory, who each have their own memories of "Grandpa Jack"
